Dear Family,

Do you remember who Seidi is?  We’ve been teaching her for 2 months now and she is so faithful in the church but still hasn’t got baptized.  A few weeks ago we finally discovered her big concern about getting baptized.  Before she always told us she wanted to learn more and understand the doctrine really well before getting baptized.  But as preach my gospels says most of the concerns that our investigators express to us are only the tip of the iceburg but underneath there is a much bigger concern.  About 2 weeks ago she finally told us about a problem in her family but with lots of prayer and due to the mercy of the lord, it is no longer a problem and she 100 % ready to baptized and really excited.  But the moment she decided to be baptized satan started throwing a ton of trials in her path.  This week has been really hard on her.  Please pray for her that nothing will get in the way of her baptism this Saturday.

Dear Family,                  June 11, 2012

     I don't have much time to write this week.  Last Monday was Hermana Perdido's 

birthday and we made pupusas with our district.  She taught me how to make them

and we've been cooking lots of them this week. mmm. I tried to download pictures

for you but this computer is being really stubborn so I’ll have to get them to you 

next week.  We had 7 investigators in Sacrament Meeting this week and a new 

family that we've been teaching with the Mama and Papa Cruz.  The work is coming

along really great and we're hoping that Seidy gets baptized this week or next week.

We're going to try to set a date tonight.  Wish I could give you more details but 

times up.

Dear Family,                                                     4 June 2012

I wanted to share another story about Doris in my last letter but I didn’t get time.  I hope you’re not all sick of hearing about Doris but she just is just really interesting.  This one probably more funny than it is spiritual.  So I told you that she gave as a couple of referrals and we went to visit one of them.  Her name is Ofrilia.  When we first contacted Orfilia, she didn’t want to listen to us but eventually accepted an appointment for us to teach her.  Doris came with us and as we taught her we kind of struggled helping her understand the message.  She wasn’t really getting it until Doris  helped us out by teaching the restoration in her own simple and somewhat strange way that we would have never used. Then, Ofilia was like “Oh, yeah.  Now I get it.”  Then when we invited her to be baptized she expressed a few doubts she had but then Doris piped in and said “Look, these two are sent by Jesus Christ.  If you reject them you’re rejecting Jesus Christ.  You’ve got to listen to them and go to church and ask God if this is true because when you die, Jesus is going to ask you why didn’t  listen to the servants he sent and then you’ll go to hell.  So you’ve got to listen to them!”  Hermana Perdida and I were really thrown back and scared of how Orfilia would react.  But she just said “Oh, yeah.  You’re right.  Come back any time you want!”  Haha, so Doris has become quite the powerful missionary.

Don’t have more time to write.  It has been a good week.  I’ll write more next week.
